Carbapenems belongs to a group of antibiotics which is often used in the treatment of multi resistant drugs. The evaluation of the effectiveness of this drug showed the most possible results in treating certain disease condition like tuberculosis to treat multi drug resistance. This has been the drug of choice in treating this deadly contagious or communicable illness. The value added specific features of this antibiotic of beta lactamase group acts in destroying the organism which is killed by penicillin group .This makes the medication highly effective on treating infection in the patient.
