Answer #1

First of all you will have to know that in physics work is defined as the mathematical quantity so without relying on the equation you cannot define it. But don't worry I will define it in the wording.

in physics of forces said to be performing work if and only if the displacement of the object is not perpendicular to the line of action of force.

if a body is moving in the direction of the applying force then the force is doing work on the body.

Whereas in real life we assume to be doing work whenever we do anything, we don't include the force, displacement and we don't even care that what is the direction of the displacement or force.
