Define leadership and discuss the role of different leadership styles followed in an organization. Which type of leadership style will you adopt when you become a manager? Why? (Write your answer in 150-200 words)
leadership is the ability of the person to develop a vision in others so that they move towards a common goal so overall leadership is quality which makes the other move towards an objective and directs others in a way that it produces a cohesive and coherent culture in the workplace.
the type of leadership style -
authority or autocratic style - in this style the leader follow more of authority, ruled based order which is all dependent on leader, all person has to follow through the decision process made by the leader, and high dependence on leadership is there.
democratic - in this type of leadership style the leader follows a more open rule in which their employee decides, the leader encourages employees to make decisions and give them free hand in communicating the solutions through this all employee say is taken care of and best decision is taken by leader.
laissez fair - in this type of leadership sit back and let the employee be the decision-maker and the work is done by employees in which they suit best. In this leader often sit back and watch as the employee has control over their work they get more motivated, responsible creative to do work.
when I become a manager I believe that laissez fair is best for me as I believe that to motivate an employee, team to do work effectively they have to be free as much as possible and the decision making should be there free will if they are working on the project, etc in this way they feel more responsible and motivated to complete the work.
