Answer the following Questions based on our lecture and review on the different theories of Management. 1. Identify a poor decision that you have recently made because of poor data gathering? This can be an experience in the school, work or in your community? (minimum of 150 words) 2. Describe the 2 best decisions you've made in your life and identify 5 factors which assisted you in arriving to that wise decision? (minimum of 200 words) 3. What made you decide to become a nurse? (minimum of 100 words) 4. What is your predominant leadership style (a) authoritarian, (b) democratic or (c) laissez-faire. Defend your answer (minimum of 150 words) 5. Interview via phone call/messenger a Nurse leader (Charge Nurse, Head Nurse, CI, etc) Ask them what they perceive to be the top 5 leadership challenges encountered by them today.

1. Poor decision I have made due to poor data gathering:- I have suggested my brother to become a teacher, even if he have interest to become a doctor. I felt teacher job is easy but later I found that there are no jobs and brother hates the job. Later I understand he wants to serve, treat patients. Later I also felt that his future cannot be decided by me. He already decided by collecting whole database and I also find that doctors future and their life becomes easier. Later I understood my mistakes and said him to choose his favourite job as done by me. He felt very happy and I also understand that if I force him, his future may be spoiled. This is the wrong decision which I took without collecting all needed database, however later I changed my decision that improves my brother's life and future. I decided myself to take a decision after complete data assessment.

2. Wise decisions made by me:-

a) Selecting my job :-I have selected my job very wisely. This job is my future so I showed more interest on selecting job. I have asked my elders and well-wishers before making a decision Factors that assist my decision are:-.

* This job is my passion. * Job have capability to change my life. self satisfaction satisfaction is more important iam fully satisfied with my job. * This job can settle my life because I will have proper earnings. * My parents are also satisfied with my decision.

b) Selecting my college:- I have selected my college also wisely. Factors that assist my decision:-. * I cannot stay without my family so I selected college which is not having hostel .

* I also see the college which is near to me so that I can go and come daily.

* Selected subject is available in selected college.

* I have made that decision by looking at career services also.

* We are from middle class family,so I selected college which is not costly

3. Why I took the decision of becoming a nurse:- I want to become a nurse to treat people and to serve people.I can save so many lives in a day and take care of all patients and supply all their health care. Nursing is really useful to my life I can do job anywhere because everywhere there are patients. This job gives me satisfaction this is my passion. This also helps my future. This job gives me proper earnings which can settle my life. Nurses have more respect in society nowadays. Nurses should not work hard all the time they will have only 12 hours shift three days a week. Nurse can involve in people and work with people. Nurse get good salary also. all these points make me to take the strong decision of becoming nurse and giving essential healthcare for people.

4. Democratic leadership.

I am a member of Democratic leadership.Team asks me my opinion and listens to my opinion also while making any smaller or bigger decision. Everyone in team ask for my feedback also while making decisions. Democratic leadership is also called as participative leadership and shared leadership also. As I am a member or participator everyone listens to my feedback. I am a member of this leadership at the time I can also apply for any organisation.

5. Nurse must have to face many problems to become top 5 leadership. Challenges faced by nurses to become top 5 leadership:-

*Nurse may have to spend more time.

* They may have to face violence in workplaces.

*Facing hazards in working areas

* They should also take care about their health and should be active to become top5 membership.

This is what I found by interviewing charge nurse in my hospital.
