Organization Behaviour is the study of human behavior in the organization in terms of understanding, predict, and control of human behavior. It is the study of the way people behave and interact in the group. There are many challenges that a manager or organization faces with the organization's behavior that are discussed in the below points,
a. Workforce Diversity
Workforce Diversity is one of the main challenges that the organization will face working with its team and employees and the study of organizational behavior. It could be difficult to manage a different and diverse workforce in the organization that has different characteristics such as age, sex, language, ethnicity, nationality, etc.
b. Quality and Productivity
Managers are facing challenges in handling the organization and human behavior to get the best quality from the team that would satisfy the demand and needs of the consumers. Managers need to focus on product's (or service) performance, features, reliability, durability, service, etc to fulfill the demand of the consumer.
c. Total Quality Management
It is one of the other challenge that the management need to focus to improve the overall quality of the organization. They need to improve customer service, work culture, empowerment of the employees, and accurate management in the organization.
d. Improving People Skills
The organization wants to delegate more power and responsibility to the employees and provide more freedom to make their choices and make decisions with respect to their duties and responsibilities. But the management find issues when they try to implement these policies in the organization as it needs more experience and skills to make powerful decisions in the organization.
e. Issues with Globalization
Managers need to manage the operation and strategic decisions when the organization wants to enter into new and global markets. Managers need to manage the international workforce with different cultures and work behaviors in those countries.
f. Ethical Behaviour
This is another challenge when a business faces the issues and forcing its employees to face ethical dilemmas. The management needs to train and make its employees identify the differences between right and wrongdoing that can affect the overall business in a negative way.
g. Implementation innovation and technology
Organizations need to implement and change the technology and innovative ideas in the organization to improve production, productivity, and operations in the organization. But management could face issues in implementing and providing enough training to its employees so that employees can work on new technologies in a smooth way.
In my opinion, Workforce Diversity is one of the main challenges with managing organizational behavior in the organization. Workforce Diversity is the differences between employee's various characteristics such as age, sex, religious belief, language, political behavior, race, physical and mental ability to perform a common task, etc. The manager faces challenges when working with a diverse workforce as it is difficult to communicate with them and understanding their mental and working behavior that could be different in their local work environment. Working with a diverse workforce could affect the operation and working culture when organizations working in global working environment. Managers need to understand how their team's working attitude and behavior affect the business and work culture when different employees work together and share their knowledge with each other.
