New hires are individuals with budding talents. An interviewer needs multiple skills to hire the most perfect candidate .

Management skills may be required to screen a candidate whether they will be an asset or not ,they can yield the necessary or targeted profit for an organization.Similarly the candidate if has this skill can get adjusted with any environment and show their proficiency and growth

Leadership skills is the most required skill of an interviewer because this can enable them to screen a candidate from multiple aspects from professional point of view to personal ,social ,economic ,fit candidate or not .Similarly the new hire will work in an optimistic ,more confidently ,rationalizing things ,directing and teaching the colleagues ,goal oriented and to provide success to the organization .

Hence management and leadership skills is necessary in new hire .
