Discuss three (3/6) documents that a project manager, and / or project team needs to create a stakeholder Engagement plan. The explain the roles of a sponsor and project manager in the completion of a project.

A stake holder engagement plan is a formal method to develop communication with project stakeholders in order to get their support for the project.This plan is made at the beginning of the project and updated frequently.The 3 documents that need to be created are classify stakeholders, define power , define interest.The first classifies stake holders into groups ie into supporting and opposed groups.As for eg a project investor is a supporter and opposed is the environmental NGO..The second is defining how much power the stakeholders have and the third is determining the interest of the stakeholders in the project. Here the stakeholders business interest are first analysed and then priority is given.

The project manager looks after the day to day work of the project and project sponsor gets updates from the project manager regarding changes made in the project which needs their approval.The role of the project sponsor is to receive fund for the project,act as a spokesperson to the management,guide project empowerment, take initiatives and take part in key business strategies.On completion of the project they evaluate the project.

The role of a project manager is to organize and motivate the team,control time, estimate cost and budget of the project,ensures satisfaction of the customer and monitors the progress of the project.
