Explain the role for women in Rosie the Riveter and how they fought for equal pay as men ,did they succeed?
→Rosie the Riveter is an artistic symbol of world WarII. Before WWII, mostly women were housewives. Time was when America?? entered WWII, men cramped up for war. And at that time, women entered into those jobs which were left behind like;civilian and military jobs. According to some historians, women became more self-reliant than men. It's calculated that about six million women appended the civilian and military force during WWII in both white and blue-collar jobs.
In the beginning, women weren't regularly welcomed into the workplace. They were getting less pay as compared with men. Many times they faced sexual harassment. But as women performed their jobs meritoriously, men's attitude towards them became positive. Then slowly, women started enjoying the taste of financial and personal liberty.
Hope it'll work!!
