If neighbourhood that you are talking is the people living
around us then I don't think so.In my opinion it's actually the
people whom we chose to be around with.My surroundings involve
people whom I choose or connect and those define me. I would much
rather be influenced by those people with whom I can have a
conversation, share some common topic and be inspired by them.I view
myself as a citizen of humanity rather than a world citizen.I
believe that our world has become much smaller and that we are all
interconnected in ways that we could not have imagined 25 years
ago.
I have trouble defining where home really is and I’ve spent a
considerable amount of time wondering if there is anywhere I truly
belong, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I am a citizen of the
world.I like traveling and meeting new people and fortunately my
work takes me too different countries, meeting different people over
the years have shaped my life and my opinions.I look at the world
as my home and I have a much more open mind now embracing the
differnt cultures that exist around the world. For me,humanity is
above anything and thats why good happy people around me make my
world. So,I consider any part of the world as my home.
I believe that it is vital to the future of this earth that we
begin to recognize how closely our lives are intertwined. I believe
that I must help to elect a leader that not only reflects the
issues that I value as a citizen but those that reflect what I
value as a world citizen.
I am a compilation of my experiences. With each new experience
I gain, I become a new person; my experiences are like the
stepping-stones in my life. Every place I’ve been, every place I’ve
lived is a part of me.Every country I have lived in will always be
a part of me. My experiences and memorie, the smells, the sights,
the culture, the people, the encounters, the adventures, everything
makes me who I am. They make me everyone. They are the foundation
of who I am today. No matter where I am, I will always be “a
citizen of the world.
