1. Introduce the position or the lens (From the following two theoretical frameworks) that you feel make more sense as far as your perspective;
a) Critical organisation theory,
b) Interpretative organisation theory
2. Write in a journal style, narrating where you were (ideologically) before reading the three theories, stating what kind of questions you asked as you moved forward in your readings, and showing how your own view and perspective has evolved and where does it stand now.
1. Critical Organisation theory- I explain it with in simple terms...suppose we are doing certain task with the set rules which were made by our ancestors.It could be correct approach at that moment but for now, it is so much time consuming and not worthy.
So at this moment what we should do. Definately we should raise voice against those set rules so that we could bring the changes for advancement. This approach advocate this perspective.
Now with the organisation point of view
Management tries to power and control. All managers, owners and other dominating group strive to turn other groups into implementing their own interests.
However it focuses on efficiency and effectiveness and may overlook the needs of people in organisation. The use of control in organisation may become authoritarian if not carefully monitored..
This approach is often viewed as being negative but it is important skill to develop.
This perspective questions the set rules and generally those assumptions and beliefs are taken for granted. Like; against to working woman.
This approach is more concerned with developing a question and critical approach to organisational life. Without critical thinking we cannot have innovation and change. Changes are required for better doing so this approach is best among three perspectives.
Interpretive Perspective- This perspective views the organisation as a culture.
Instead of communication and direction originating from the top the organisation' s culture is shaped by its employees. At every layer of the organisation culture is being shaped and molded.
When you look the communication through this perspective it is like flowing river instead of dominant order( like Traditional perspective)
This perspective has its critics. People skill have ulterior motives and seek to grow their power.
It is a nice view of the organisation but it doesn't offer any real action plan to strengthen the culture ( where the traditional approach assumes the directives all come from top).
Among all three perspectives I e. Traditional, Critical and Interpretive . Critical perspective is the best approach which favours some control of management as well as unfavour and questions any Wrong.
