Answer #1

I have worked with childern aged 5-7 in a school environment setting. Many a times, children engage in agressive behaviour. For example, a child was hitting another child because he stole something of his. Instead of punishing the child, I spoke to the child and explained why his behaviour was wrong. During play time, I made sure he was playing a sport such as baseball or dribbling a basketball to ensure that his energy was channelised into a positive way. I have written about the incident in his diary and asked his parents to adopt a similar approach at home. There has been a decrease in the agressive behaviour of the child.
