(Answer) The major ‘Social Work Values’, in the social work code of ethics and values are:

1. Dignity and human worth
2. Service
3. Social Justice
4. Integrity
5. Competence
6. Importance and priority of human relationships.

When one would closely analyse these values, it is noticed that they closely adhere to the values of evaluation conflict. In fact, they are inseparable. This is simply because one cannot have all or even a single core value listed above without the resolution of conflicts.

Conflict resolutions are largely dependent on the types of conflict. They are:

1. Relationship Conflicts
2. Data Conflicts (Conflicts from lack of data or information)
3. Conflict of interests
4. Structural conflicts (conflict is about forces external to the individuals involved)
5. Value conflicts (conflicts based on an individual’s values)

Based on the conflict evaluation, it is essential to find viable solutions and terminate the conflict in a healthy manner. This because human relationships and human worth, would require an environment to thrive. This becomes possible only when conflict within an organisation or community are resolved.
