SOLUTION:

Given That A 405-room hotel’s GOPAR if it recorded rooms revenue of $61,469 on a per available room basis; its GOP represented 32.1% of total revenue and its percentage of rooms revenue to total revenue is 68.2%.

So

Room Revenue in Total = $61,469  X 405 rooms

=$24,894,945

The room revenue is 71.4% of the total revenue

$24,894,945*100/68.2

Hence, Total Revenue =$36,502,851.91

GOP is 32.1% of Total Revenue=$36,502,851.91*32.1/100

=$11,717,415.46

GOPAR is Gross Average Profit (GOP) per Available Room (AR)

Therefore, GOPAR when calculated works out to=$29,083.6642
