Conflict is the struggle between incompatible and opposing
needs, wishes, ideas, interests, or people.Healthy conflict is
always positive for organization as it brings new idea and
innovation.
Two major source of conflict in the workplace are :
- Miscommunication : Many times, personal and professional
conflicts arise due to poor communication. Communication problem
can be caused due to different linguistics , loss or
misinterpreting of messages. It is more severe issue in
multicultural team because of people with multi language and
culture.
- Differing Attitudes, Values, and Perceptions : Difference in
attitudes, values or perception can be caused due to hierarchal ,
Cultural or region differences. member of one culture may want to
do a particular things in a ways that is totally different than
other member of different culture.
