Describe a learning experience you particularly enjoyed as an adult and show how the experience matched/contradicted the assumptions of andraogy.

Andragogy is the art and science of adult learning which was popularized by Malcolm Shepherd Knowles. It is any form of adult learning. There are 4 assumption for adult learning and those are

• Self-concept- The person should be self-directed human being who can moves from a dependent personality as maturity grows.
• Adult learner experience- The reservoir of experience should become resource of learning as the individual human being matures.
• Readiness to learn- The person should be ready to learn and open to learn in that age.
• Orientation to learning- The orientation of learning should shift from subject-centered to problem centered. The scope of learning should be vast and wide.

The learning experience I am narrating here is use of online learning for the adult to develop their skills and improve their knowledge. We know that due to various reason people does not able to complete their education up to the level they wanted to. To fillip this gap, online education is the best method where learner can learn from where they want and on an ease. This learning technique matched with the assumption of andragogy. It basically drive on the same assumption as andragogy have.
