When should employers reassess the assessment methods they use in hiring?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Some of the assessment methods used for hiring are cognitive tests, job knowledge test, communication ability test, structured interview etc..The company should observe how the current employees selected via these methods are performing in the organization. If the results are not satisfactory over a period of 2 quarters, the company should immediately reconsider their assessment methods and see what the assessment methods are lacking in and what needs to be modified or newly introduced.

Even if the company finds out the average performance of the employees are satisfactory, the company should still reassess the assessment methods almost every 2 quarters and see if there are any chances of improvement in the hiring methods. The more the hiring method is stringent, the outcome is going to be more perfect.
