What is your opinion on whether employers should be entitled when you are at work to monitor all electronic combinations (e.g., e-mail, messengering, and telephone) that you have with outside parties.
Yes I believe that the employees should have the right to do so. This is because the property I am using at the workplace belongs to the employer and those properties are not my personal properties. Hence the employers should have the right to check the electronic communications. In fact there are many systems such as ERP system is used just to integrate the communication within the organization.
It may possible that the employee is sending sensitive data through mail or any another medium or the employee is conducting any misbehavior by the mail which is not beneficial for the company.
The employer can check that the whether the employee is communication effectively to the outside parties or not. The employee may need some data as well. So he can check the emails or calls.
