Answer #1

International business ethics can be understood as the set of laws and values of morality that a business needs to adhere to in order to continue their stand in working in another country. The laws do not necessarily take into account issues of morality thus, ethics come to play when we consider these values that a business need to uphold. The local culture, to a point, does influence the ethical practices follows by businesses. This is due to the fact that what one could try considered ethical in nature, may, in fact, be unethical in their eyes. This is the reason, local culture has a huge impact on how ethics are followed and even, what ethics are. Also, we need to be able to understand that international businesses, especially large corporations need to uphold its brand value, position and reach and therefore, it's more necessary for them to follow such values than say a small organization with barely any audience or reach.
