The activities that increases the risk of coxiella burnetti are;vetenarians,meat processing plant workers,dairy workers,livestock farmers,and researchers at facilities housing sheep and goats.

They are at high risk because, they are exposed to animals and animal products as part of their job.

It affects mainly the lungs,Onc epeople get infected by breathing in dust that has been contaminated by infected animals, feaces,urine,milk and products that contain this bacteria.They are diagnosed by serologic testing.
