What are normal and abnormal responses for pulse, blood pressure and respiration during physical activity and exercise…and WHY may a respons be abnormal?
LIght to moderate exercise results in increase in cardiac output.Cardiac output increases owing to an initial increase in both stroke volume and heart rate.During exercise of this intensity the cardiorespiratory system is able to meet the metabolic demands of the body. The increase in stroke volume results from an increase in venous return, which in turn increases the left ventricular end diastolic volume. The higher the intensity of exercise the greater in the rise of heart rate will be and consequently the target the increases in systolic blood pressure too.Low intensity aerobic fitness training tends to have the lowest increase in systolic pressure and is therefore the safest training. The normal blood pressure results in 120/80mm/hg increases to approximately 240/160 mm/hg after exercise,if it exceeds too much reaches the abnormal blood pressure and may also result in heart stroke.
