Sleep the most important thing in humans to restore energy to brain. It has a circadian cycle and a sleep last for about 90 minutes with REM and non REM.Nearly 4-6 cycles occurs throughout the night

  • The body will be in a anabolic state ,where all voluntary actions of muscles are inhibited
  • The ability to respond to a stimuli is very less
  • The ATP are restored to the parts which were deprived to regain its energy and functions
  • The sensory thresholds are decreased
  • The growth hormones are secreted during sleep at slow wave cycle
  • The body temperature and heart rate falls down
  • Desynchronization occurs with fast eye movements ,loss of muscle tone and aiding in homeostasis
