CAUSES OF TYPE II DIABETES
Type 2 diabetes develops when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin. Exactly why this happens is unknown, although genetics and environmental factors, such as being overweight and inactive, seem to be contributing factors.
The relationship between insulin resistance and Hyperinsulinemia is
A condition in which your body doesn't respond well to the effects of insulin. Your pancreas tries to compensate by making more insulin. Insulin resistance may eventually lead to the development of type 2 diabetes.
Though hyperinsulinemia can relate to type 2 diabetes, it is not the same condition. Hyperinsulinemia is usually the result of insulin resistance.
