compare and contrast Pelvic Inflammatory Disease ( PID) and Dysmenorrhea in 1 -2 paragraphs. how are they similar and how are they different?

Pelvic Inflammatory disease is the infection of female reproductive organs.It is caused by the bacteria from sexually transmitted disease like gonorrhea and chlamydia.A woman can get pelvic inflammatory disease if a bacteria move from vaginaa  into her reproductive organs.The signs and symptoms of PID are pain in the lower abdomen,fever,vaginal discharge ,pain when urinating,and irregular menstrual periods.Women who are at risk for PID are women who have sexually transmitted infection like chlamydia,gonorrhea,who have many sexual partners and have PID in past.PID can be treated with antibiotics.Untreated PID can cause chronic pain and infertility in women.

Dysmenorrhea means painful periods.It can be primary dysmennorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea.Primary dysmenorrhea occurs one or two days before the periods.It is not related to any pelvic lesion.Nausea,pain in the abdomen ,pain in the abdomen ,and fatigue are common symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea.Secondary dysmenorrhea is painful menses due to pelvic disease.Secondary dysmenorrhea occurs due to infection in your female reproductive organs like endometriosis,PID,and fibroids.Pain begins earlier in menstrual cycle and can be due to underlying pelvic infection.

PID is the infection of female reproductive organ and if it is chronic condition it can cause secondary dysmenorrhea.PID and  primary dysmenorrhea have  pain in the lower abdomen.PID can cause secondary dysmenorrhea.Both PID and dysmenorrhea are the condition that affects women.Both PID and in dysmennorrhea the patient have long painful periods.Both PID and dysmenorrhea negatively affects patients quality of life.

PID is a type of  bacterial infection with Neisseria gonorrhoea or Chlamdia trachomatis while primary dysmenorrhea can be caused by prostaglandin hormone which cause cramping .Secondary dysmennorrhea can be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease.
