In every industry projects are the important criterion to have the best results in project managers use different tools from beginning to the end result. Microsoft Project and Ace Project are mostly used software tools by the managers for the best results. Microsoft Project is software tool which was used by the managers for developing the plan, tracking the project, tracking the overall budget according to the plan and evaluating the work. Ace Project is a web based software tool which always helps to track and manage the project according to the plan. Time tracking is available in this software which helps for quick implementation and it can be used for any kind of projects.

FUNCTIONALITY- For any software tool functionality was one of the important features because that tool should suitable for our project so that while selecting the tool each and every function should be checked.

Ms Project- It performs different functions like collaboration, problem tracking, to manage the project according to the plan, management of every document and resource management.

Ace Project- It performs the functions like Document management, time tracking, managing the tasks in the proper way, project management and resource management

When comparing the functionality, both the tools perform the equal function but in ace project there is a special feature like time tracking.

Mobile Friendly- Microsoft project can be used in standalone, cloud and SaaS. Ace project can be used in Standalone and SaaS.

Hierarchical tasks- MS project can be used to perform the hierarchical tasks but Ace projects cannot perform this task.

Project portfolio management- MS project can perform the portfolio management and Ace projects also perform the portfolio management.

When comparing both the tools according to my point of view both the tools perform the same task but MS project is an old version and managers will prefer to use this because it had more features than the Ace project. If the budget was being crossed from the planning budgets and when it was important to assign the tasks Ms Projects can be used. In some projects time tracking is an important criterion at that situation Ace project must be used.
