Polyuria is a condition in which body excretes more urine than normal.
During diabetes mellitus the blood glucose levels increase and when it is filtered the glucose enters lumen of nephron along the filtrate. Due to high glucose concentration in the nephron lumen, more water is pulled into lumen and that is carried to the bladder for elimination. If diabetes mellitus is unmanaged, the blood will experience hyperglycemia and more glucose enters nephron lumen causing more water excretion that is called polyuria.
In case of diabetes insipidus reabsorption of water in collecting duct reduced and leads to polyuria
Hyperparathyroidism is increased parathyroid hormone that cause increased calcium levels, the hypercalcemia act on renal tubules to cause polyuria.
