Answer #1

It is commonly seen in the healthcare setting that the patients place and the specialized beds are generally at the high risks of the skin braekdoe=wn. It is because while lying in the bed by the patient on the long term like during the chronic illness, postoperative care or during the surgical procedures it put pressure on the skin, specifically in those defined areas which makes the closer contact of the bones to the skin on longer duration creating the pressure. This pressure decline the blood flow to the cappilaries and thus mitigating the oxygen as well as nutrient supply to the skin. and thus the skin becomes damaged due to lack of proper oxygen and nutient leading to "Skin Breakdown", characterized by the damage of the skin.
