The  CRISPR/cas9 is an enzyme complex of endonucleases. It cleave the DNA sequence at a specific position, It has a guide RNA that guides the Cas9 enzyme to the particular location, and then the Cas9 cleave the DNA sequence at that location. The bacteria capture snippets of DNA from invading viruses and use them to create DNA segments known as CRISPR arrays by cleaving the viral DNA using this complex and form the CRISPR arrays . It helps in remembering the virus by the DNA using the CRISPR arrays.
