What are PCR thermocycler, Taz DNA polymerase
PCR is polymerase chain reactions where small strands of DNA can be amplified.A thermocycler is an apparatus which can be used to carry out the process of polymerisation of small fragments. These fragments can be DNA or RNA.For DNA to amplify tag DNA polymerase should be used and for RNA to amplify reverse transcriptase enzyme should be used.
The thermocycler raises and lowers the temperature of the samples in a holding block in discrete, pre-programmed steps, allowing for denaturation and reannealing of samples with various reagents. Amplified genetic material can be used in many downstream applications such as cloning, sequencing, expression analysis, and genotyping.
