Explanation:- Several theories have been proposed from time to time describe the process of dreaming but the most accepted on is activation synthesis theory which states that dreams are the electrical impulses generated within nuerons that pull random images and memories. Dreams are the repressed desires of unconscious brain. Sleep in humans is triggered by hormone melatonin released by pineal gland from signals of hypothalamus which in turn is activated by SCN ( supra chiasmatic Nucleus) in darkness. There are different stages in alpha, beta, theta , delta and dreaming occurs during REM ( rapid eye movement sleep) stage.
