Answer #1

Answer:

The ping pong paddle comes with different features, selected according to the condition of use (requirements). Similarly different humans have different features (personalities) depending upon the conditions of use, as in my case I would be paddle used for aggressive play. Some of the analogies drawn can be:

The blade:

  • Feature: The blade of a paddle is of two different types depending on how u holds the paddle, Asians generally hold it in pen style, whereas westerns hold in handshake style.
  • Analogy: Similar to paddle the core personality of a human like me depends upon the culture and up-bringing of the person.
    • I will be like a racket handshake style holding a firmer grip rather than going for more flexibility..

Amount of Rubber:

  • Feature: The amount quantity of the rubber used on both side of racket depends upon the type play the owner want, if it is more on spin and deceiving then more rubber will be used and if it is fast then less rubber will be used.
  • Analogy: Similar to amount rubber the behaviour and skills of a person depends upon the personality, i.e. whether he is diplomatic/ deceiving or honest/on your face type.
    • I would be like a racket having balanced amount of not being on any extreme.

Two face of racket:

  • Feature: Also one side has thicker rubber where in one side has thinner rubber. Where thicker one is used for soft/spin game and thinner used for faster/smash game.
  • Analogy: Similar to the two side of racket humans have two different side soft and harsh in different situations.

You buy a bucket filled with white and yellow ping-pong balls, covered with a lid. The seller claims that at least half the balls in the bucket are yellow. The seller offers you a test as evidence. You get to draw 8 ping-pong balls from the bucket with a replacement but without peeking. Assume that each ball is equally likely to be drawn. a) What is your null hypothesis about the probability (p) to draw a yellow ball? b) If...

A student is trying to toss a ping-pong ball into a paper cup. If the ball is thrown at a height of 1.524 meters with an initial velocity of 6 m/s and at an angle of 60°, how far away does the cup need to be placed on the ground in order for the ping-pong ball to make it into the cup. Neglect air resistance. (3.90 m)

This is for a college physics 100 level class. A regulation ping-pong ball has a mass of 2.7 grams and a diameter of 40 mm. If this ping-pong ball is dropped from a height of 4.0 meters, how long will it take to reach the ground, and how fast will it be traveling right before it hits the ground? (Air resistance is not negligible.) Please include an explanation of the process.

(1 point) A ping-pong ball is caught in a vertical plexiglass column in which the air flow alternates sinusoidally with a period of 60 seconds. The air flow starts with a maximum upward flow at the rate of 4.4m/s and at t=30 seconds the flow has a minimum (upward) flow of rate of −7.8m/s. (To make this clear: a flow of −5m/s upward is the same as a flow downward of 5m/s. The ping-pong ball is subjected to the forces...
