How far should First Amendment rights extend?

The first amendment to US constitution refers to the freedom of religion or worship and freedom of speech. These two rights made the US society more secular and people centric. The first on relating to religion gives people the freedom to practice whichever religion they want to practice but at the same time keeps religion away from government and politics. It strictly says that religion shouldn’t intervene in the process of the government or law making.

The second part relates to the freedom of speech ensures the freedom of press and freedom to assemble and to redress the grievances of people. It shouldn’t in anyway take the violent position but could be conducted in a peaceful manner thus protecting the rights of others, property and the interests of the country.
