Some problems with the view that mind emerged from biological complexity, purely naturalistically are-

Mind can be emerged from complexity but how these complexity caused emergence of mind in one particular direction is fascinating and complex and this strucks with the development of mind from biological complexity.

Complexity cannot be explained theoretically or practical work cannot be performed on this . So here it contemplates with the original idea.

Knowledge of emergence is also very necessary and if it is not evolved from within, then it might have been provided some external force or material for emergence.

This only defines epistemic emergence which is a kind of restrictions when it comes to the evaluation. So for basics ,it will fail to explain the same.
