Modern; The Accordionist by Pablo Picasso aritst

2In what way is it meaningful?
3Does it possess lasting value to you, personally?
Answer.
Picasso’s the ‘Accordionist’ depicts a configuration of geometric figures and shapes in a confusing state which appear to be brought in line wit( each other under the rule of a singular uniform frame. It is significant in terms of its historical referentiality within the Cubist form of painting and it presents an early stage of Picasso’s experiments with Analytical Cubism where he subjected three dimensional real life figures such as the Accordian player in this painting to two dimensional, unfamiliar geometric forms.
The use of monochromatic colours and the symbolic reference to music and harmony ( through the reference to the Accoridan player with his instrument) somehow appear to restore a sense of balance and harmony agianst the confusion and meaninglessness of the visible figures in the painting.
