Some colonised countries, which also emerged from wars developed better than others because-

  • Underdeveloped countries which might not had have services such as railways and good transportation benefited from colonization.
  • It also incorporated world trade and commerce which helped the nations in realizing their comparative advantage and flourished in trade.
  • While some countries reaped the benefits of colonization through economic growth and sustained development, others were left with gravely depleted resources in the long term. Hence, such countries had stagnated developmnet.
