Answer #1

Question

The major histocompability complex are the set of closely linked polymorphic genes present in the vertebrate. These genes code for the cell surface proteins which play instrumental role in adaptive immunity. These proteins function is to recognize foreign molecules and representation of antigen to the appropriate T immune cells. There are two types of MHC present and these are MHC-I and MHC-II. The MHC are present in all nucleated cells and MHC-II are available only on specific antigen -presenting cells.
