The innate immunity is referred to the naturally occuring immunity by the genetic constituents and the physiology of the person. This type of immunity generates a non specific response.
Example : Redness and swelling caused by white blood cells around a wound.
Adaptive immunity refers to an acquired immunity which is stimulated by B cells and T cells and characterized by an immunological memory. This type of immunity generates a specific immune response.
Example : vaccination against a virus.
The active immunity refers to an immunity,
which results from the production of antibodies by the person own
immune system in response to an direct contact of an antigen.
Example : tetanus vaccine
The passive immunity refers to a short term
immunity which results from the introduction of antibodies from the
outside.
Example : anti tetanus serum
