Adaptive immunity : It is also called as acquired immunity. It is a specialized type of immunity in which the immunity contains specific types of cells such as systemic cells and highly specialized cells that eliminates a particular pathogen .This immunity develops during the life span

Innate immunity: It is non-specific type of immunity in which there is sudden response is seen within hours of antigen appearance . It is developed by the person at the time of birth

Disadvantages of adaptive immunity:

1) Time taken for the antibodies will be from days to month , so antigen entered into the body can infect the body easily

2) specific antibodies produced are specific antigens and are not effective against another antigens
