Discuss a theory that would affect why people would/should drink water

Answer #1

As you know our body approximately contained 60 % of water. And still we need to drink water right? Because our body uses that water in its all cell as well as organs made up of tissues to maintain the homeostasis (Optimal temperature of our body) since our body loses water (dehydrate) during breathing, sweating, digestion and even during excreting waste through perspiration, urination, and defecation. However some part of the water our body extracted from food we eat and remaining water deficiency we made up by drinking lots of water. Although, the quantity of water depends on the food we eat, the climate we live, physical activity we do and our body type (healthy / ill).

1.) A dietician develops a new diet, in which people drink copious amounts of ice water. The theory is that the body must raise the temperature from 0.0 deg C to body temperature (37.0 deg C), and will use energy (therefore burning fat) to achieve this. If it takes 3500 Cal (3500 kcal) of energy output to burn off 454 g (about 1 pound) of fat, how much ice water (in L) must be consumed to achieve this? (Useful information:...
