According to Malthusian theory of population-

Push factor- This is a kind of drive, which force people to go away from wherever they are. for example- war, disease etc, make force on people to migrate from that particular place to another place, where they can live a better life.

Pull factor- This drive is opposite to push factor, it attracts people to new destination. for example- employement and education, attracts people to migrate from one place to another place.
