-Arteriolosclerosis is for to the thickening of the walls of the vessels, but it affects mostly small arteries and arterioles thereby narrowing the lumen of the affected vessels.

It is of two types : hyaline and hyperplastic

It can cause ischemia

It mostly affects people with diabetes mellitus or high blood pressure

-Arteriosclerosis is the narrowing of the walls of the arteries , due to thickening of the vessels, with a loss in the elasticity of the affected arteries.

The inner most layer (intima) is affected most of the times.
