How are sampling distributions different from other distributions. How is the raw data generated? (atleast 5-7 sentences)
Sampling distribution means distribution of sample statistics. For example, suppose we draw random sample of size 100 from the population with some mean and variance, the distribution of sample mean is the sampling distribution of the mean. It means, sampling distribution is a probability distribution of a statistic obtained from a larger number of samples drawn from a specific population.
And the distribution of population parameter like mean (μ), Standard deviation (σ), proportion (P), median, percentiles etc. is called population distribution or simply distribution.
The raw data can either be entered by a user or generated by the computer itself. Because it has not been processed by the computer in any way, it is considered to be raw data.
