The legislation that should be considered in regards to establishing and maintaining a payroll system is:
1)The employer must know the Government laws and regulations regarding minimum wages payble and Overtime rate etc that is to te paid to the employee and not considering it may be an offence.
2)The organisation must maintain timerecords for the days that an employee present,his working hours etc and pay the wages or salary on that basis.
3)The period of payment must be known like whether the payment is made at the end of each day or week or month or so on.
4)Collecting the employee and employer taxes and other Statutory deductions and paying them to the government timely must also be part of payroll .
5)Handling payroll enquiries of the government or employee himself.
