Answer #1

Retaliation after being attacked, whether right or wrong is a question of morality. I reckon, if I were a President, perhaps I would seek revenge by killing the members of a group who attacked and killed the citizens and armed forces of my country. Sitting back and not retaliating would give the opponent a chance to take advantage of the situation and continue to attack. However, having said that, I would definitely give them one single warning, more than that would become a habit for them and would continue to attack because there would be no repercussions to the attacks. Retaliation would only give them a taste of their own medicine. It is important to have the opponent back off. Thus, perhaps I would have retaliated after being attacked.
