1. Describe the development of black schools in the south after the Civil War?
In order to keep racism an separate affair and to maintain white supremacy, the southern states of U.S adopted a public policy to establish Black schools soon after America’s civil war. During the years after civil war, Black and white teachers from North and south, missionary organizations, churches etc. Worked tirelessly to provide education at high school level. During that period famous schools such as Richmond coloured Normal School, Dunbar High school (Washington D.C), Dudley High School etc. are some of the important contributions to society by the Black teachers.
