Racial micro-aggression refers to demeaning or looking down upon people of color. It can be directed towards other races in the form of verbal, non-verbal, behavioral, derogatory communication and etcetera. Racial micro-aggression affects the well-being of people. It leads to stress, anxiety and eventually other serious mental disorders that stem from basic anxiety. Derogatory communication in any form and negative racial insults affect one's self-confidence, self-esteem and self-concept. All of these leading to one of color feeling anxious and stressed at all times. It affects our mental health and well-being.
