The ethical standards are dependent on the various factors of
setting, people you are dealing with and the problems that we are
dealing with
- Human services- These are based on adults where fundamental
human rights are protected. There should be respect and dignity,
promotion of welfare and self-determination, advocating social
justice, honoring cultural diversity, objectivity, genuineness,
integrity, and honoring cultural diversity.
- School Counselors- These are more specific to the school and
the protection of children. promotion of child development,
maintaining the confidentiality, respecting students beliefs and
culture, managing relationships between teachers and students,
dignity and respect, provide mental health care if
required,etc.
