According to some psychologists, personal and social problems such
as drug abuse, violence, unwanted pregnancy, alcoholism, and
criminality stem from failures in:
People often get into alcoholism also known as alcohol
dependence- have lost reliable control over their alcohol use. It
is characterized by tolerance (need to drink more to become the
same "high") and also show withdrawal symptoms if they stop
drinking
Similarly they get into substance abuse when they are unable to
control over their impulse to use drugs inspite of the
consequences.
During adolescence, teenagers often feel pressure to make
friends and fit in with their peers. All the glamourization of
pregnancy and lack of knowledge and sometimes drinking too whose
root cause is lack of self control leads them to unintended
pregnancies.
Violence and criminality: a person commits crime and is violent
without knowing the long-term consequences of his/her actions.it is
said that a person is known by the kind of company he has around
with but in reality this statement is not all true a person should
listen to his surroundings and be judgmental about his actions that
he is asked to get into. Because this is how a person turns into a
criminal by not having self control.
