Assume you are a parent. What qualities would you advise your child to look for in a long-term committed partnership? Why do you think those particular qualities are important? Now let's focus on communication in committed relationships. What would you tell your child about communication in committed relationships? What tips/suggestions would you offer? (I know this isn't considered Psychology but no other subject comes close)
I am a parent. I feel it is of emmence importance to tell the kids about the importance of communciation. Today the kids are not knowing this importance as they are exposed to new world and new ideas at very early stage. And they are becoming more and more focus to their strengths and their career aspects. They do not have idea to how difficuilt is married life than having a just relationship between girlf friend or boyfriend. Today;s kids are lacking in patience as well.
I would advise my son, to consider or to understand before he speaks something. If that sentence is harsh then think twice before saying something. As well as understanding the person in front, being in his or her shoes. Having trust, telling things frankly, not to hide would also help in nurturig inrelationships. Another important aspect is maintaining peace,if one is fighting another should kepp quiet but should not shout back or back answer.
Trust is an important quality, if the trust is broken the relationship can not be as stronger as before. As well harsh words can not be forgotten, the qualities such as grudge, revenge should be removed from any relationships. Of these things come in between then two people can not have love.
Soft communication is the basis of any relationships, it is key to heal any kind of relationship and to maintain long term relationship. Communication can also be non-verbal, it can also be expressed through good facial expressions, similarly letters or emails or notes also form a bridge between two people.
