It is a very good idea to relate the question to specific skills needed for the organization. This allows the applicant to relate their fit for the job and the organization and the interviewer has opportunity to fully evaluate the candidate's abilities and attributes that match the job. The specific replies the applicants provide to the interview questions should not only relate their skill but also specific behaviors the applicant will use for success in the job. Many feel interviews that are traditional where the applicant is asked questions and provides a response are outdated for today's work environment. What other type of process to you feel could be effective in evaluating skill and also determining a candidates fit for the job?

Answer: There are a number of ways in which an effective evaluation of skills and fit of a candidate can be made. Some of these processes are

  1. The references check can be used for evaluating the skills and fit of the candidates. The references provided by the candidates can be asked some questions for cross checking the skills and fit of a candidate
  2. Mock tests and tasks which can test the skills and fit of the candidates can be used
  3. The social media can also be used for understanding the behaviour and skills which a person possesses
  4. Psychometric and psychological tests can also be given to the candidates for assessment of their skills and behaviours
  5. The analysis of past achievements, job roles and assignments of the candidates can also act as a reference for the assessment of the skills and fit of candidate
