Thus it is important that HR manager understands how an individual who has varied characteristics, traits and behaviours can fit in an organisation’s culture and the job requirements. Only when a person can fulfil both will he/she be an assets for the company. If not, they may turn out to become a liability. Organisational Behaviour or OB theory can help us here. Furthermore, understanding what drives the person will help the HR manager to motivate them accordingly as different people have different drivers and so need varied type of motivators. For this, personality assessment is also proven to be beneficial.
